Robotic Surgery

This has been a robotic weekend, the monkey controlling robot arms with its mind and now this story came to my attention. ZEUS, a robotic surgeon, not by artificial intelligence but actually being controlled by a true doctor, Dr. Michael Fabrizio, only a few feet away. Dr. Fabrizio removed the patient’s prostate gland.
ZEUS is the next wave in surgery; his hands are smoother and glide cleaner than any human doctor’s hand - allowing much more precision in the surgery. Just this Thursday, ZEUS was approved by the FDA for things such as full surgery. Up to this point ZEUS could only be used to move tissue and pull it out of the way.
I hate to be the one to bring this up, but this reminds me of T2, the show at Universal Studios where the robot does surgery while the doctor is on the beach watching the sunrise. I’ll have a clause requiring the doctor to be focused on my surgery if he controls the robot.
