HandyShopper 2.5.2 [157kb] Palm OS2.0 - OS5.0 Free
In the past, when I went shopping, I took along a paper list of all the things I needed for that week. I came home having spent $50 more than intended. HandyShopper takes care of that. The handy app lets you put in all of the groceries you need and list them alphabetically, by isle number or by how many of each item. Then while you are shopping, enter the price per item, how many you have in your cart and if it is taxable and at what percent. While you are in the checkout line, total everything and the “how much have I purchased” mystery is gone.
Try the “Best Buy” option to price compare items for big purchases, or those impulse items at the checkout line. You can set up multiple databases for groceries, movies, large purchases or anything you want. Best of all it’s free, though the author would like a postcard from your location. The first day I used it, HandyShopper saved me close to 40 bucks by sticking to my budget.
The new version fixes a couple of conversion and lookup bugs as well as adding the ability to place icons in your list.
