Scientists at MIT have developed a 150 ton magnet. It’s the next step in bringing fusion power into the realm of possible future power sources. The hope to use what they’ve learned and create a 925 ton magnet which will operate along with others in a 10,000 ton magnet system. The magnets can be used to control the plasma which results from the fusion reaction. –Now I just need to find where I can buy a 3,000 ton refrigerator.
