Howdy. I am normally not a morning person. If I wake up before 9:00 am, I am surly and incoherent. But today was a completely different story and my coffee maker was making magic at about 6:00 am. My early bird mentality was due to the beautiful aroma of my famous java and Chris and Lori gracing my television via WOI Channel 5 here in good old Des Moines, Iowa. Gnomedex was of course the topic of discussion and it was riveting. Their performance has been immortalized on VHS and hopefully we will be able to display the 3-minute interview soon.

Speaking of Gnomedex, it’s only 3 days away and I can’t wait. I’ve heard from quite a few readers claiming their geek skills aren’t up to par and guess what? Neither are mine and that is precisely why I’m going. I can honestly say that I usually reserve my giddiness for rock concerts and basketball games, but I never realized how often an opportunity like this comes around. Not often enough. Where else could I have the pleasure of hanging out with Chris, Jake, Lori, Tony, and Randy… all in the same room?
