Construction begins on Beagle 2
The Beagle 2, which is part of ESA’s next Mars mission, is beginning construction in England.
“The lander will be constructed in clean-room conditions to avoid being contaminated with any kind of terrestrial life so that it can more accurately determine if there is or was any kind of Martian life once it arrives.”
In my opinion, the only way to tell if there was life on Mars is to use the same technology that our archaeologist use here on Earth. Drilling a big hole and analyzing the core sample. As far as the life that might be there now? We’ll just kill it if we ever make it there.
