The first man to receive an artificial heart is now lamenting over his decision. Despite his heroic decision to become the guinea pig that will advance the technology in organ replacement technology, the quality of life that Butch Quinn has been experiencing is less than satisfying. I can’t blame him for his feelings, but this is price you pay for being the first. There are never guarantees in organ transplants but his bravery is paving the way for improving the process.
