“Visual I.D.” Graphic in Email to Protect Against Phishing

Iconix has announced a new system designed to protect users against phishing. By having approved senders identified with a graphic icon in your inbox, you can be assured that the email is really from, say, PayPal or eBay, and not a phishing attempt, says Iconix.

Of course, such a system relies on broad adoption of the technology to work.
