Phishing Victim Sues Own Bank

Here’s an interesting question: if you are the victim of phishing, and are unaware that you have been phished, and as a result of that phishing, the phisher gets enough information to drain your bank account, who - other than the phisher - should be responsible for the loss which you sustain?

Well, Joe Lopez, of Miama, Florida, thinks that your bank should be. At least that is what he is claiming in his lawsuit against Bank of America, through which he is trying to recover more than $90,000 which he claims the bank negligently allowed a Latvian phisher to suck out of his bank account… [Continued…]
