I was browsing through Project Gutenberg and came across this book called The Devil’s Dictionary. It had some interesting definitions of common words :
BEAUTY, n. The power by which a woman charms a lover and terrifies her husband.
FIDELITY, n. A virtue peculiar to those who are about to be betrayed.
LEARNING, n. The kind of ignorance distinguishing the studious.
