I am hip to the fact that many of you out there may be right there on board with Walkman cell phones. To me, this is just too much stuff in one device. I am the sort of fella that prefers his stuff a little more separated than that.

One of the biggest fears I have with giving my mother-in-law (or, to a lesser extent, my wife) anything new technology-wise is the learning curve. Frequently I have to spend quite some time teaching either of them the ins-and-outs of whatever it is I give them.
An example would be the digital [...]
For the past few weeks, we’ve been seeing an interesting war of the words played before our eyes between Apple and the recording industry. Steve has called it greedy and the labels have said they’re barely making much money.
Everyone knows Steve’s right and the labels must be taking in the extracurricular - and illegal [...]
Wow, Apple is finally going to allow the iPod to record music properly? Well it’s about time! Actually, I just ranted for the heck of it. Since I don’t own nor wish to own an iPod, this news really did not get me as excited as I initially let on.
Thanks to Qualcomm’s PureVoice technology, audio files may now be converted to a readable format for your Verizon cellular phone. All you need to get started is an audio file, an audio editing software like Audacity, and a phone with picture messaging enabled.
You can use Audacity to crop your audio file down to ring [...]

Now I realize that mobile music is and will likely continue to be all the rage. But could we not begin to look at technology for something a little more impressive? You know, perhaps a way to make dropped calls a thing of the past?
While I make no promises as to the legitimacy of this find, I have been told by a number of people that this is the real deal - iTunes for Windows Mobile 5 has been spotted, folks.
