MauiGames Studio has announced Hawaii Golf Classics, a game that is 100% advertising supported. The press release claims this is the first fully ad-supported mobile game on the market — I’m not sure if that’s true, I know there is a lot of plans for ad-supported mobile games so it isn’t the first by much. What’s more, the game is currently available for PCs and won’t be available on mobile phones until later this summer.

However, one interesting aspect of this deal is that it’s not a random advertiser seeking a particular audience. The game uses the actual layouts of a series of famous PGA and Champions Tour golf course, with the first one being Kaanapali Golf Courses’ Tournament North Course on Maui.
