A new game has just been released for the Palm which is excellent for those long drives in the car to visit grandma and grandpa, or even just to play for the fun of it.

Word Monaco is a solitaire game, only instead of being handed a deck of cards with kings, queens, and jacks, you a deck with you’re A’s, B’s, and C’s. You drag cards to create words vertically. When moving a letter from one row to another, you must either make a full word, or be the beginning of one. You also have the ability to move grouped letters from column to column. For example, take the letters ‘ISH’ from the word ‘FISH’ and put them on a ‘D’ to make the word ‘DISH’. The goal of the game is to get all of the cards face up and to arrange all of them into words. When a word is successfully created, a diamond will appear at the top of the column.

You have three different levels to choose from. In the first level, all that is required to win is that you use all the letters to make words. In the second level, words created must be 3 or more letters long, and in the third and final level, words must be four or more letters long.

Word Monaco is an excellent addition to your list of Palm-based games, especially if you spend extended periods of time traveling. This game will definitely help pass the time.
