C|Net Reviews Portable XM Player from Samsung

I’ve been using XM satellite radio pretty much since day one way back to the turn of the century. I’ve loved it and haven’t listened to FM or AM since.

If you find yourself wishing you could take your XM with you when you leave your car, as I do often, then you may be interested in Samsung’s new offering. C|Net gave the Helix YX-M1 a full review and you can learn more about it and find if it’s for you or not. Outside of the quick spoiler that the battery dies to quick and the limited 1GB of storage for your WMA/MP3s is its major con, the $400 unit otherwise looks to be a great way to take XM onto BART (as long as you’re not in the Bay tube.)
