Chicks Can Soon Drive in Comfort

Okay, disclaimer over as there is important news for you ladies to be told. It’s my understanding that those three-point safety belts we all call seatbelts seem to dig into the chests of the many females that buckle up and I’m told it really hurts them. A UK company, Mira, found some really disturbing information, telling the world in its press release that, “92% of women admit to tampering with or not wearing their seatbelt due to the discomfort it causes whilst driving.” Me? I don’t get it. I feel fine. ;)

All kidding aside, Mira teamed up with Sheilas’ Wheels, some car insurance for chicks in England, and engineered a new seatbelt called the S-Clip. It curves the top of the belt into an S and thus fits just right in the “right places” to insure comfort for the chicks while still protecting them from accidents. Mira even strapped in some dummies and gave the S-Clip a test and found that indeed, the safety belts were not ill effected. No word on if the dummies felt more comfortable with the new clip prior to the crash, however.

The new discovery hopes to find its way into seat belt manufacturers assembly lines soon but in the meantime, Sheilas’ Wheels warns, “female motorists to make sure they always wear their seatbelt, and wear it properly - no matter how much it digs into their neck or chest.”
