Welcome to 3G, Cingular customers! Yup, they just launched their first two 3G phones on their online store. Does this mean that we should all go out and upgrade to a new 3G enable phone? It might not be a bad idea based on what I have been hearing…
Cingular’s online store has been updated to include Cingular’s first 3G handsets. The LG CU320 and Samsung ZX10 are both available for $100 after rebate to customers in 3G enabled areas. Each handset includes UMTS (not HSPDA) 850/1900, 1.3 Megapixel cameras and access to Cingular’s new video service. Both phones are also listed as Quad band GSM despite initial claims that the LG CU320 was triband (850/1800/1900). Data pricing remains the same for 3G data plans as for 2G. MEdia Basic is $10 per month and MEdia Works is $20. Source: Phone Scoop
