Worry not about that silly patent infringement lawsuit by Garmin, TomTom is moving on with better things like the release of an updated version of the Go.
The all-in-one GPS includes a new best-in-class 4 inch screen that contains all the electronics and maps that mounts right to your dash or window. Fashioning its new top of the line, the 710, is the, “first ever portable navigation device featuring multi-continental map coverage.” This basically means you get Europe, Canada, and the USA maps all slapped in the bad boy. Hey, that might come in handy if you need to drive from New York to London in the next ice age. The 710 also comes with an integrated MP3 player that allows you to play, “audiobooks, music and podcasts.” The best feature of the 710’s new audio capabilities is its ability to preform text-to-speech functionality, though how well it does that is yet to be heard. I’ve yet to hear one that isn’t robotic sounding.
No pricing was announced but you’ll be able to drive away from Best Buy fully guided on April 1st. No joke!
