While three mega-pixel is nothing for today’s digital cameras, it does present some cool possibilities for those camera-phone enthusiasts.

Sony Ericsson announced the United States’ first 3-megapixel cameraphone and two new Walkman phones at an event today, promising a wide range of attractive new handsets for Cingular, T-Mobile, and other carriers in 2006.

“In North America, we have acquired a reputation for being an aspirational brand,” said Najmi Jarwala, president of Sony Ericsson North America. “We need to do more … and have a deeper portfolio with representation in every price segment.” Source: PC Mag
