There’s lots of people in China and when just a small number of the population picks up on something, it’s going to take off. Point in case, cellular phones. Tapping another 5.4 million subscribers last month, China now can claim nearly 400 million cell chatting users. As in almost half a billion! I wonder how often the Chinese hear the dreaded recording, “We’re sorry, your call can not be completed due to lack of cellular availability.”

While on the subject, the Chinese seem to like the SMS just as much as the Europeans do and sent 33.8 billion messages in January. Man, how can they even get those funky Chinese characters in their phone? ;)
