Everyone knows the human brain responds quicker to visual ques then to having to read something out. Hence, the reason so many of our software applications use icons for things like cut, paste, undo, save, etc. So why doesn’t the greatest and simplest DAP have icons? Well, for what ever reason Apple didn’t want to stick them on its wonderfully black and white players, you can now add them yourself.

Menu Icons for iPod Photo/Color for 1.2.1 (hey, I’m just quoting, I did not mess up on the grammar…this time) allows you to stick an icon next to each menu command on your iPod. The best thing about this hack is it’s easy! You just mount your iPod as a hard drive and move over the icons and run the mod updater and you’re in business. Sweet as can be!
