Treo 700p On the Way?

Is this the Treo 700p? Rumors have been all over the ‘Net about a Palm OS version of the Treo since nearly day one of the Windows Mobile version hit the wires. With pix and details on the TreoCentral forums, it’s quite possible this may be the real deal. Those posters claim that the screen will stay 320×320 (like the 650) and run Palm OS Garnet 5.4.9. Packed with more memory than its younger brother at 63 MB, upgrading buyers should be happy with some more room to breathe with. Since the Sprint logo is on the phone, this most likely means you can expect EV-DO on this CDMA based phone. Bluetooth 2.0 is here but no Wi-Fi are the other deets along with remapped buttons.

So, it may be that while Verizon got the 700w exclusively, the Palm version may be Sprints out the doors at first only. Since the Treo is one of the best selling smartphones out, this may be more advantageous for Sprint then Verizon’s Windows version. We’ll have to wait and see.
