Nanotech to Screens Everywhere to be Rescued

  • No Related Post

My first iPod I had, I was super careful with it and because of my great attention, I got away with one minor scratch in one year. My next iPod wasn’t so lucky after stuffing it into the Altec Lansing IM7 that I was reviewing. Thrashed it. Bummer.

Phones and PDAs are also susceptible to easy scratches as just about anything with a screen. I’ve found for my PDAs, the best thing a boy can do is get screen protectors and they work like a charm. But they’re difficult to put on and sometimes you end up trapping dust under them right when you mount them. Ugh, how sucky is that?

Nanotech may be the answer to all of our easy scratch woes. A new "spray-on" discovery will actually protect any screen and surface from easy scratching!

Look what Wired’s saying about it:

The nano coatings, “liquid solids” composed of extremely tiny particles, possess unique characteristics — like extreme flexibility, easy adhesion and resistance to corrosion and microbial growth — that could profoundly change the manufacturing process.

If this all true and if it all pans out, we can all kiss those scratches good-bye!
