Guess Moto is looking for some diversity in its music offering as it announced today at 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona that it will start packing some of its phones with good ’ol Microsoft  digital rights management (DRM.)  This means the Moto phones will support Windows Media Audio, Windows Media Audio Professional, and Media Transfer Protocol (MTP.)

Motorola did not state if this was an end to its Apple relationship and all indicators are it will continue to sale its iTunes based phones. Like the iTunes phone, the Windows Media phones too will sync when connected to a Windows-based PC automatically.
