Ever been some where and thought, “I wonder if there’s a good restaurant around here?” Heck, who cares about good - in some cases, just if there’s something, anything, to eat nearby. Maybe even in your own city? Well I have, many times, and usually resort to a local’s suggestion (which might not always work out) or go for the old standby, Burger King. What can you do? Mmm, turn on your Palm and ask Earthcomber, my friend!
Earthcomber was presented to me last fall right before Thanksgiving. I spoke to founder and president Jim Brady on the phone while getting my baggage at the San Antonio Airport and boy, was he excited about his product! We had a great and lengthy conversation, interrupted here and there by my frantic search for certain missing baggage and trying to get my SUV rental (hey, I was in Texas!). Brady kept telling me with such enthusiasm about his product that I thought, “Man, this thing has got to rock.” Stephanie Hoo of the AP agrees saying, “Even this jaded journalist is impressed.”
Hoo’s article gives you a good idea of just what Earthcomber is and it’ll keep you warm until SvenOnTech gets a chance to check out the Pocket PC version. Based on Brady’s jubilance, I can tell you my expectations are high… and I have a feeling they’ll be fulfilled.
