With all the rumors that Apple was in talks with XM to bring an iPod with satellite radio on it pretty much just that, rumors, Samsung today announced its living and breathing DAP that does have the ability to do the XM shuffle. The Helix XM2go will play XM radio “anytime, anywhere” and will also record those signals. A unique feature for this player/recorder is the Bookmark one. Bookmark allows you to mark a song that you are recording from XM for later purchase on Napster.
Speaking of Napster, the Helix also supports Napster To Go as well as MP3 and WMA formats. You’ll be able to store up to 50 hours of material on this flashy flash device.
The unit weighs in at 4.5 ounces and measures approximately 3.7 inches high, 2.2 inches wide, and 0.6 inch deep. Helix will cost $399.99 and will be available within in the next three months.
