New USB Drive Speeds Up Transfers By Reading and Writing Simultaneously

I love my 1GB SanDisk Micro-Cruizer but can’t stand how long it takes to delete files and then copy over some new ones. It takes a loooong time and it causes me to do updates not as often as I should. What’s a geek to do? Spill out $410 and get the new Buffalo RUF2-S4G-BS. Unlike the model name eludes, this not BS of a USB drive. It holds 4GB memory and allows a user to quickly write to the drive due to it containing two chipsets in it. This allows for the drive to both read and write at the same time. In simple terms, this means you’ll be seeing some mighty quick transfers to that 4GB puppy.

If you’ve got the money to spend and the time not to lose, then you’ll be happy to know that this hits the streets of Japan, native to Buffalo, now and should soon find its way here into the States. It’s bound to cause other USB drive manufacturers to follow suit and create similar USB drives, too. For me, it’s just a matter of price and when it’s low enough, I’ll be grabbing one faster then it takes to transfer stuff onto my current drive.
