New Shuffle and Nano for Macworld

  • No Related Post

Wonder why those 1GB shuffles are all out until January? Interesting timing, no? I’d say you can expect some new shuffles from Macworld as well a bump up in storage, too. There’ll probably be a 2GB shuffle along with the 1GB. I’d be surprised if the 512MB sticks around. As to look-and-feel of the new shuffles, I would guess Apple will stick with what works to keep cost down; however, it wouldn’t surprise me to find a small LCD on the unit.

Nano-nano may be getting a Mork update, too. With the deal Apple made for NAND memory, I take it as a hold for Apple to get some larger capacity out of the small wonders and would expect to find a 6GB puppy in Steve Jobs hands come this keynote in January. With the mini’s colorful rainbow gone, you may be looking at a few new colors to complete the nano update.

Speculation is a wonderful thing, especially when fueled by clues of the industry, and we’ll see if this one is one of the many that will be true or not.
