Think iPod’s rule the accessory market? How about the automobile one, too? More and more manufacturers are releasing models that are iPod-ready and allow for you to stick more then just gas into it. Pop open the glove box and slap your iPod in and connect it to the OEM stereo. It’s becoming the norm more then anything and now Chevy wants you to buy the 2007 Aveo because it, too, is iPod-ready.

But will the iPod feature be enough to entice buyers? I mean take a look at the Aveo and you’ve got to think, “Dude, I can do better then this.” Volkswagen has got a few models that are much nicer and in the same price range that can take your same iPod into its dinky glove compartment as well. While attaching that neat Apple approved iPod-ready sticker to the “box” will gain some car buyers attention, the box has to be good, too. I mean one of the main reasons people flock to the iPod is because of its awesome looks. Trust me, you ain’t going to be selling Yugo’s just because they have an iPod-ready sticker on it.
