Forget Online Dating: Use Your iPod To Score Dates!

Wow, this iPod craze is coming full circle. Now you can score dates by simply proudly displaying your arctic white cable attached to your iPod. BusinessWeek is telling us that people are iPod jacking (sharing an iPod jack to show others what music they are into), and then trading numbers. I guess now you can see if they sync those tunes via Apple or PC at the other end. :)

I must admit, the white ear buds or cable do catch my eye, too. Living in a smaller town, when I would first see that white cable, I’d think, “All right! Using the sweet player.” Oddly enough, now that I think about it, it was always women that were using the iPod. Shesh, am I the only guy in town using an iPod? Hope not. :)

This is a nice change in stories about the iPod and attracting attention. After the reports of muggings in New York’s subways, I think getting dates instead of beat up is a better way to get the most out of your iPod.
