Bluetooth to Widen Its Frequency

With all the talk about Ultra-wide Band (UWB) surfacing on how it will replace Bluetooth, the folks behind Bluetooth have decided to just included the stickin new frequency into it’s next big update. That’s right, the next major update of Bluetooth will have all the goodies we’ve come to love of Bluetooth and have all these wonderful promises of UWB. Aaah, I love peacemakers! :)

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group is set to update its roadmap out to the third quarter of 2007, emphasizing interoperability with UWB media-access control (MAC) layers, improved security features, advanced topologies and better quality of service.
