Asus A636 Is A Battery Pal

One of the largest drawbacks to PDAs are their drain on batteries. In full use mode - bright LCD, Wi-Fi, etc. - you’re lucky to get an hour out of the handheld before it’s begging to be put on its cradle for charging.

No matter how far technology progresses, it seems, battery life doesn’t seem to jump in leaps-and-bounds with the rest of the features on the latest PDAs. Looks like the Asus A636 shatters that stigma as it lasted 35 hours for Mobile-Review! Yes, that’s hours. Sure, it turned down the LCD and just read an e-book, but it did some real-life testing and got 4 hours 10 minutes under maximum use. Oh yeah, it comes with a built-in GPS, too! I’ve always been a fan of the Asus and almost got one over my iPAQ 4705 and with this new battery-saver model, I see little reason not to hunt this jewel down!
