Nano Nano - We’re Suing You

Chalk this up as another frivolous lawsuit as some kid and a few others are going after Apple’s deep pockets. It’s not about the scratches that the iPod nano gets, nope, it’s about the money.

The lawsuit claims that the nanos “scratch excessively during normal usage, rendering the screen on the nanos unreadable, and violating state consumer protection statutes… and causing Plaintiff class members to incur loss of use and monetary damages.” While that sounds for reason enough to be of a legitimate lawsuit, it’s the damages that raise the eyebrows. Among the desires for collection is full retail price for the nano, statutory and punitive damages, attorneys’ fees, and the part that makes you pull an Arsenio Hall and say, “Mmm,” is the request to share in the profits of the nano! Dude, think of all the lost money one could have had in the Pinto lawsuits! This lawsuit is nothing but a nano-nano-shazbot!
