Palm Opening Full Fledged Store In L.A.

ProphecyBoy is reporting that Palm is going the Apple Store route and making one of its very own in L.A. just a spitting’s distance from Apple’s main digs in L.A.
While Palm has little kiosks in malls and airports across America (of which I saw and touched my first T3 oh so long ago), this is a big step for Palm. If I were Palm, though, I’d be a bit cautious with my ambitions.
While Apple has done exceedingly well with its stores, remember, Gateway didn’t. Palm doesn’t have a huge hit like the iPod on its hands to draw the crowds Apple does, so it might a bit risky to go full fledged brick-and-mortar. But then again, it showed enough sense to ditch PalmSource’s aging OS for its Treo, so maybe it is on to something.
