Motorola Announces A Bunch of Phones At 3GSM Asia

Earlier today Motorola announced five new phones that are set to drop on the Asian market. In fact, it announced that it has been selected by the GSM Association (GSMA) to serve for a second phase as the sole supplier of handsets for the Emerging Market Handset (EMH) program - a program that strives to advance the social and economic development of emerging markets through mobile communications.

Motorola will be offering a series of new mobile handsets, based on its highly successful C11x mass market handset platform, that are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of mass market consumers including unparalleled battery life for increased talk and standby times, large displays, and durable design. The latest handsets to launch as part of the EMH program include the C113 and C113a. Motorola will commence delivery of these products beginning in the first quarter of 2006 and will continue to work with the GSMA to profitably develop additional products to meet its long term objectives.
