Apple unveils iPod phone hybrid

I have said once and I will say it again; “Keep the phones and music players separate.” I just fail to see how being bound to SD media is going to be worth it to me; that and being bound to a new mobile contract to boot. (This is not a duplicate posting to the one below -just my take on the new device)
As expected Apple has unveiled a gadget that combines its hugely popular iPod music player with a mobile phone.
Announced by Apple boss Steve Jobs the device will be able to store about 100 songs and play them out randomly like the iPod Shuffle.
Developed by Motorola for Apple the gadget, dubbed Rokr, will first be available on the network of US mobile operator Cingular.
Since it was introduced in 2001, Apple has sold more than 21 million iPods. [Read the rest]
