Well this is good news for those on the other side of the pond! The PSP is coming to you guys - just not till September. Sorry, I know this seems like a long ways off. However, you could look at this as a good thing though. At least you can be sure that Sony will have a chance to work out some of the PSP bugs before it arrives on your door step.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced that its highly anticipated PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld entertainment system will be launched in Europe on 1st September 2005.
Following the success of the PSP launches in Japan and the USA, the PSP will go on sale in the European territories on 1st September 2005, available in a single version “Value Pack”, priced at $249 (£179).
The PSP “Value Pack” contains a package of accessories and entertainment content, including a carry pouch, 32MB Memory Stick, Battery Pack, Headphones with Remote Control, AC Adaptor, Wrist Strap and a video/music/game sampler Universal Media Disc (UMD) including several non-interactive game demos.
A copy of Spider-Man 2, on UMD Video will be available free of charge to early purchasers of PSP, who register their PSP and order their Spider-Man 2 UMD Video through http://www.yourpsp.com, the official SCEE web portal for PlayStation Portable. [Read the rest]
