Sirius Adds Lying Homemaker to It’s List of Celeb’s
After sending shock waves in the industry by nabbing Howard Stern to it’s satellite network, Sirius has now announced the addition to the convicted lying homemaker Martha Stewart to their brand of bad boy radio, I guess you could call it. “Martha Stewart Living is the premier brand in lifestyle and how-to programming for women and their families. Martha Stewart Living Radio on Sirius will have tremendous appeal to women, who are completely underserved by traditional radio programming,” Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin, said in a statement.
While Stewart’s popularity is on the rise as her stock was on the decline, this may be yet another customer boasting move by Sirius. With only 1.2 million subscribers, compared to competitor XM’s 3.8 million, Sirius is getting serious about wanting to the take the lead away from the largest coast-to-coast radio provider and with continued moves like this, it may happen.
