Looks like Verizon has finally got around to the V710 update to fix some of the Bluetooth issues. But don’t get too excited, OBEX is still retarded and the fix isn’t much. Basically it now works with more car kits (I have n0ne), syncs your Phonebook and Calendar via Bluetooth using Phone Tools (I already bought the — faster — USB cable), and both the phone and Bluetooth ear piece ring now when a call comes in (big deal).

Now if you really have to have one of these key features, then note what you do lose: file transfer from the TransFlash to the phone. Meaning, no more moving MP3’s from the card to the phone for ringtones. Yes, Verizon goes up a notch on the Slimy scale! But don’t worry, you can still e-mail them to the phone, it’s just harder then a simple transfer is.
