Samsung thinks that buttons just clutter up the beauty of its cellular phones, so the SCH-S310 has tastefully removed the number keypad altogether. How does one dial, you ask? Easy. With its built in accelerometer, it recognizes movement of the phone in three dimensions. Plainly stated, it lets you dial numbers in thin air! Just draw your number out in the air and the phone recognizes it and starts the dialing process. It also supports commands such as yes, a complete circle, or no, an X, to allow for quicker navigation.
For fun, Samsung included a “beat box” mode that plays instruments for each number such as drums and tambourines. Oh ya, it also does lame stuff like streaming music, snapping pix with its 1.3 megapixel camera, mobile banking, as well as having GPS with a magnetic compass sensor.
