Children Under 8 Should Not Use Cell Phones

This article about kids and mobile phones cracks me up. What would possess anyone to buy their small child a mobile phone when they are not even old enough to ride a public bus by themselves yet? Only the parents of said children could answer this, I suppose.
A study sponsored and performed by the British government says that children under the age of 8 should not use a cell phone; doing so can possibly cause brain or ear tumors and damage to their DNA.
The study recommended that cell phone towers not be built near schools. Those who did the study say there is no hard evidence that cell phone use pose a health risk to the general public however.
There have been various studies over the past year that show that cell phones can cause health problems and others that don’t. The FDA says there is no conclusive evidence that cell phones pose health risk and no conclusive evidence that they don’t.
