Well congrats to CSL for the foresight of having Nokia handsets for their new 3G network in Hong Kong. Being that Hong Kong is a real mover and shaker for China, it is of little surprise that Nokia is the company of choice for them.
Nokia today announced that CSL has selected Nokia as their first 3G handset partner and have chosen the Nokia 6630 smartphone for their 3G WCDMA product portfolio. The Nokia 6630 phone offers online e-mail, capability to download and view e-mail attachments, mobile broadband access to multimedia content, live video streaming and video conferencing.
“We congratulate CSL for their commercial 3G network launch and we are delighted to work as their first 3G handset partner. We will continue to work closely together in bringing unique and exciting 3G mobile experience to CSL customers through the Nokia 6630 smartphone,” said Bruce Lam, General Manager, Nokia Mobile Phones, Hong Kong and Macau.
“With the demand for multimedia mobile content and data growing strongly, we believe the 3G mass market is here. With its powerful imaging and computer features, Nokia 6630 works seamlessly with our integrated 3G / EDGE mobile network and is ideal for bringing CSL’s business and consumer 3G services to life,” said Hubert Ng, Chief Executive Officer, CSL.
