Unlimited $4.99 T-Zones Rides Again!

For you Tmobile users like me that love the $4.99 unlimited Internet
were shocked earlier this month when our ability to surf the web (port
80) was taken away. What a sad day that was. For the past few weeks I
have been so busy I wasn’t able to figure out if it was my phone, or
if Tmobile had caught on to the best kept secret in wireless. After
all $4.99 a month to surf from anywhere is pretty sweet.

This morning I finally decided to call and figure what had been going
on. Tmobile informed me that the free ride was over. Port 80 has been
blocked and the only way to get it back is to pay $20.00 a month. I
like to surf the web, don’t get me wrong. But being always connected
isn’t worth $20.00 a month to me.

So I jumped on the web forms yet again, since this is where I had
initially learned about the $4.99 unlimited scheme. Turns out, if you
want to keep surfing it is possible via secret proxy server. Rock on!
I am not sure exactly what your connection scenario is but I use a
Sony Ericsson P800 and the Opera browser.

All I did was launch opera and add these proxy settings. Everything
worked fine again.

The proxy settings are as follows:
I.P. Address 216.155.165.50 Port 8080

Here are a few helpful links that I used when solving this problem: http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=522596

Happy Mobile Surfing!
I’d also like to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.
