Opera has announced availability of the preview release of the Opera browser for Windows Mobile Smartphones. Opera has been growing like wildfire in the mobile browser category and recently announced the browser was coming to the Smartphone. This pre-release version is not a complete feature implementation according to the Opera web site and will be functional until the end of this year.

The Opera browser for Smartphones incorporates the Opera Mobile Accelerator which “compresses markup and image files before they are downloaded to the device, thus speeding up your browsing. The service is available for free for this copy of Opera during the technology preview period. ” I guess this will become a paid service after the beta period.
