Portable Firefox- browse with just a USB drive

Firefox is a browser that has evolved into a very solid browsing platform. Once you experience tabbed browsing you will never (OK, seldom, but under duress) go back. Loyal Firefox users have expressed dismay when then have to use someone else’s computer and only find Internet Explorer at their disposal. Firefox withdrawal is not a pretty thing.

Loyalist John Haller has given Firefoxers a reason to jump for joy with his distribution of Portable Firefox. He’s taken the normal Firefox distribution and created a smaller, portable version of the browser that can be put onto a USB key chain drive. It’s completely self-contained so all you have to do when using a foreign computer (one with no Firefox) is plug in the USB drive and , presto! Complete Firefox at your disposal. Got your faves, tabs, sweetness! And best of all Portable Firefox leaves no nasty browsing remnants behind on your buddy’s computer. Complete instructions for installation and use are on John’s web link, above.
