The Palm Forecast: Cloudy

Palm, are they headed up a creek without a paddle? It is possible if they are not careful. With the new PDA/cell phones and the constant advancements of the Pocket PC, they most certainly do seem to keep their proverbial glass half empty, don’t they.

It has seemed that Palm came to their senses and simularly to my suggestion from last day, Palm decided to promote their product for education. This is a great start. For one, the specific product they are promoting is the Palm Tungsten E (education) to educators. Through the educators, the educated (students) can grasp this new technology and adopt it into their own life. The Tungsten E packs great power under a reasonable price and with the special offers going on, it is hard to resist. First the student would use it for notes, homework, daily planning and hopefully it would give them more control in school. Soon as they explore they would find multimedia functions and fun games. I use my UX50 at school so much, its my word processor, its my agenda, its my calculator, its my dictionary and its my entertainment. The kids in the next generation is so lucky as it all is benefiting them. When I look back in the future when I have kids, I would be telling them I used to have paper, pens and text books.
