Now here is a great way to kill two birds with one stone. Gather up all of those old, outdated cell phones you have around the house, then contact the folks at CellForCash.com. They have agreed to take all of the donated cell phones and invest the revenue spent on the old cells into a benefit fund for the victims of Hurricane Charley.
People may donate their old, unused cell phones at any one of Choice Cellular’s locations (or at its affiliate Advanced Wireless stores) in Tampa Bay, Clearwater, Orlando, Pasco County and elsewhere. CellForCash.com has agreed to purchase any and all of the phones that are collected. Then, Choice Cellular will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the Hurricane Charley Relief Fund, established by Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
This fund will be used for needs unmet by other disaster relief organizations also working to help rebuild lives and communities in the wake of Hurricane Charley, which swept across 25 Florida counties on August 13, killing 27 people and causing billions of dollars in damage.
