Ubuntu a new and painless experience

Over the years I’ve had several not so pleasant experiences with linux . Several of them didn’t get far beyond the installation process. Being retired with more time on my hands I decided to give it a go once more. Armed with a fresh pot of coffee I settled in for a long session of installing Ubuntu.
I downloaded the Ubuntu ISO image, burned a CD and had a spare computer up and running on Ubuntu long before the pot of coffee was gone. I found some of Chris Pirillo’s videos helpful in this project
The challenge now is to start actually using Ubuntu. More on this topic to follow.
