My First Entry

This is my first entry in a blog. Although I have been programming computers for nearly 30 years, my coding has been in BASIC, C, C++, PASCAL, Forth, and even some hardly ever used database languages like MUMPS, or RBase. Initially the formatting will be minimal, Bold for titles, and little else until I learn how things work.

What I will blog about is what the title describes, full blown apps that are open source, and there will on occasion be some freeware apps to which the source code is not available except for a price, or not at all. I will not be including libraries, because the majority of people are not capable of using them, at least that is what I “see” of the group statistics of individuals using the web.
