Sync Your iPod Without Using iTunes

  • No Related Post

The iPod offers a great user experience on the hardware side and integrates nicely with iTunes, but there are certain things I don’t like about the way iTunes works on Windows. It’s not that other media player apps don’t have flaws, I simply find certain aspects of iTunes to be clunky. Finding the perfect alternative to iTunes with seamless integration of your iPod can be a tricky proposition. There’s a give and take with each alternative. A recent request for a way to sync an iPod using Windows Media Player 10 caused me to revisit the available alternatives. Some, like ephPod were left out because of integration errors in my testing. Your mileage may vary. If you’re looking for a way to sync your iPod with an iTunes alternative, check out this list of alternative ways to sync your iPod for Windows.

I can’t get my songs in my library to my I-pod nano i had it once and to put more on now i have none. Will some on tell me how to sync them on to my I-pod please.

if you want to sync your ipod with windows media player 11 just use MGTEK Dopisp. It’s a plugin for wmp that allows it to recognize your ipod. Its only $15 as far as i can remember too for a license but theres a free 30 day trial.

There are many alternatives but many of them do not work with the new iPod classic, touch and nano. The database was updated on these iPods and now information is stored to them differently. I used some popular iTunes alternates, and after testing one in preticular - the ipod was now longer usable and I was forced to do a full reset. The real question to me now is whether you can just store information to an iPod like a SanDisk for instance. Just using the directory based file upload, and skipping the bloated database that iTunes relies on. When I upload videos this would be heaven! Right now I am forced to edit every individual files information so the internal database on the ipod and in iTunes correlates the video files to a season show or a movie. It would be so much easier for me to just make folders in iTunes and drag-and-drop the files into each one and have the files “inherit” the folders properties e.g. tv-show, movie or music video (am I’m not referring to playlists!).

i think this is tight
