More megapixels and a bigger digital zoom are what make digital cameras fly off the store shelves, but what I really want is a camera with a better response time. The lag between the time I press the button and the time a camera actually grabs an image can be infuriating. Even though I know there’s a lag, on occasion I forget to use my standard tricks for getting a shot off more quickly which means I end up missing a really great shot.
