Convert PAL DVD to NTSC

One of the big frustrations for fans of movies is the confusion over playback options for DVDs from other parts of the globe. If you live in a region where PAL format DVDs are the standard (most of the European and Asian continents), you may not be able to buy some movies at the same time they become available to people in the United States, because of bizarre distribution rules of the major motion picture studios. In the United States and Canada, if a DVD is PAL format, in many cases we can’t watch the video in our DVD players even if we can buy it. When the boxed set from your favorite cartoon is a PAL only release, what do you do? Rip the movies and risk violating the DMCA? Or find a DVD player capable of playing the movies. Find out what your options might be for converting PAL DVD to NTSC.

I’ve got a PAL playstation 2, but some NTSC games, they do not play. I don’t want to chip my playstation because my friend’s ps2 broke through this method. Is there any program to convert discs?
